Smart Robot DIY Kit – Toy Review

Smart Robot DIY Kit – Toy Review

Robots have long held the imagination of children across the globe. Portrayed on television, in film and books, children have grown up with the hope of owning a robot one day. Though there is still a fair way to go before planet Earth descends into a Jetsons-like existence, an affordable little slice is provided by Popsugar and their DIY robot kit.

The kit does not require any tools or outside support and can be assembled by children above the age of 8 years without any difficulty. All that is needed is one AA battery and you’re ready to go!

The assembled robot navigates itself, sensing obstacles and redirecting itself accordingly. Children can create a variety of mazes to see whether or not the robot can direct itself correctly. This is a fun activity to undertake as a family – possibly creating an obstacle course and watching the robot complete it.

Children do not require parental support to assemble the robot as the kit comes with detailed instructions which are clear and simple to understand. If your child is showing an interest in basic robotics, this toy is a great gift for them. A great introduction to robots, this kit is affordable and easily available.
