Brain Kids – App Review

Brain Kids – App Review

The ‘Brain Kids’ application is a brain training application for children. The games are entertaining as well as educational and can be played by adults as well. The app consists of three books, where the first chapter in each of the books is free. Users have to subsequently purchase the other two chapters in each of the three books.

Each of the books become progressively harder as chapters progress. Users find themselves more challenged as they continue to play the game. Each chapter has up to 3 stars which can be won based on the number of correct answers given and the time it takes to answer.

The app aims to develop a variety of skills within each user through the different games offered. These include matching games, connect the dots, puzzles and mathematical calculation games. Though these subjects sound easy, users have found themselves challenged by later chapters of these games.

The graphics and user interface of the game is also worth mentioning. Bright colours and an easily navigatable interface makes it a game children can play without needing adult supervision. It also has the option of adding multiple users, which can make it a valuable tool in classroom spaces.
