The Stupendous Time Telling Superdog – Book Review

The Stupendous Time Telling Superdog – Book Review

Humans are bound by the concept of time. They do not have the option to choose when they want to do what they want. There is a fixed notion of what should be done at what time and the human race follows it. Sounds a bit grim for a children’s book, doesn’t it?

In her book ‘The Stupendous Timetelling Superdog’, Hemanjali Sankar takes the notion of how our life is controlled by the concept of time and turns it into a humorous book for children.

As the world reels from the fact that the concept of time has gone missing (all clocks, watches etc have stopped working), the Ghosh family remains unfazed. They are the only family in the world that can boast of having a time telling dog (no watches needed)!

In a world tumbling into confusion, as people aren’t used to not being told what time to do things, word spreads about the Ghosh family and their amazing dog.

The author makes a tongue-in-cheek comment on adults and their obsession with doing things in a timely and appropriate manner while providing children with a hilarious time telling dog. For adults, this book can be a real head-scratcher and get them thinking! For children, the author has given a loveable, albeit batty, superhero of sorts!
