What does “Gattara” mean?
Have you come across a woman who lives with cats, lots of cats? She probably takes in strays or feeds them too. There’s a word for such a lady. It’s “Gattara” (pronounced gatt-taa-raa), and it’s an Italian word used to describe a cat lady –a woman, often old, who feeds and devotes herself to cats, domestic and stray alike!
