Bird Window Collisions

For birds it is incredibly difficult to judge the glass windows. Billions of birds do come across this around the globe each year. Most of the time after they collide, they fly away, but later die due to internal bleeding, especially in the brain.

What causes bird collisions with windows?

There are two main types of window collision. The first is during day time and the other at night. During day time they see the reflection of the environment around on the glasses and at night due to street light and multiple lighting reflection on the glasses. They also do collide on other solid structures due to extreme light in their way which distracts them from their path or also due to foggy weather.

Please do take special precautions whenever you come across any collided and injured bird. Birds are very important for the environment. Save the Birds!
